What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?
Joint Mobilization

Chiropractic Manipulation
AKA Chiropractic Adjustment
Note: Not all patients are candidates nor are treated with spinal manipulation.

Chiropractic Adjustment or Manipulation Technique:
We use this technique to:
  • reduce muscle spasms near a joint
  • ease neurological irritations around a joint
  • make joints more mobile
  • reduce pain and discomfort
  • Restore function
  • Treat structural and tissue abnormalities (vertebrae, muscles, myofascial structures, etc.)
  • Relieve joint restriction and misalignment
  • Restore muscle and tissue balance
  • Promote the movement of bodily fluids
Prior to the adjustment, we carefully prepare the soft tissues around the treatment area and position the patient optimally to minimize, or eliminate the force needed to perform the correction.
A click or "pop" is sometimes heard when the correction is made. This is nothing more than a change in pressure within the joint and synovial fluid moving through the joint.
We understand that some patients  do not want to have this (or other) technique performed and therefore encourage patients to discuss their concerns with us. We can use other methods to achieve similar results.

  • treat structural and tissue abnormalities (vertebrae, muscles, myofascial structures, etc.)
  • Relieve joint restriction and misalignment
  • Restore muscle and tissue balance
  • Promote the movement of bodily fluids

Who Can Benefit From Spinal Manipulation?
It can help people of all ages . The treatment can be used to ease pain, promote healing increase overall mobility and improve function.  It can even be utilized to treat muscle and nerve pain as well as headaches.
